Wheaton North High School Bands
We are students, we are leaders, we are musicians; together
we are the Wheaton North Band Program. Whether through our
concert, jazz, or marching programs, we all have a common
goal. Our mission is to discover who we are and who we
want to be. We strive for musical excellence. Our high
expectations compel us to promote the art form of music.
We continually establish and perpetuate traditions through
which we develop strong relationships and mature. Musical
performance helps us grow more confident and develop pride
in ourselves and our program. Music helps us develop our
emotions and express who we are; even after the music ends.
Music is what we love and that’s why we play it.

On behalf of the FBPO board and members, we would like to extend our thanks to Dan
Covic for his time as President. Dan has been an active member of FBPO for many years
and most recently led the FBPO as President for the past two years. Dan has announced
his resignation from the FBPO board effective 3/1/12.
We would like to welcome Patti Scheuman as she moves into the role of FBPO President.
Patti has been an active member of the FBPO for several years and with an incoming
freshman plans on being active for many more to come. Patti will take over as interim
President and plans to run for the full 2012-13 term. Patti will assume her
responsibilities as of 3/1/12.
General Announcements
On a separate yet related note, the slate of candidates for the 2012-13 board will
be announced at the March 6th FBPO meeting. If you are interested in running for the
board, please contact a current board member. Elections will be held at the April 3rd
meeting at 7pm in the orchestra room.
We are currently in need of a few people to fill committee spots. Please consider taking
on one of these roles. It is important to remember that everything the FBPO organizes,
raises funds for, or provides goes directly to the students in all of the curricular
and extracurricular band programs. FBPO is also a completely volunteer organization.
That means that each of these areas have been structured so they take minimal time and
effort to coordinate. The role of the committee chairperson is to coordinate. We have a
very active volunteer base to help fulfill the duties.
Ultimately your child benefits!
Consider stepping up to help in one of the following roles…
Treasurer
Falconfest
Health and Safety
Chaperones
Falcon Booster Liaison
Fundraising
Publicity
Spiritwear
If you would like more information about any of the above committees, contact Sherry
Manschot or Sylvia Rodee.
